When teaching my first child to read I was inspired to write and illustrate a series of reception year reading books, Ben & Hassan. My aim was to update the genre to a more multi-cultural world with modern family dynamics.

 

The inspiration for 'The Inquiry' came from my interest in true crime and believing it was an interesting way of telling a crime story that had never been done before. The Inquiry deals with themes of loss and deprivation, while taking a critical look at the police and their relationship with the tabloid press.
